Just purchased DropCopy full version from App store. No issue when transferring files, but how to get files into the corresponding App is a real problem.
Currently I can only transfer PDF and image files into other Apps. Other files such as Office document (.doc .xls .ppt), Text files (.rtf .htm), Archive files (.zip .rar) will appear in the "Docs" section, and I can't open these files into other App. The only option DropCopy offed to me is sending them back to my desktop or Email. That's unexceptable.
iPhone/iPad is now capable handling lots of file formats. We have Documents-to-Go for office files, we have iUnarchiver for zip/rar files, and we have the faithful GoodReader. The reason I bought this App is to transfer my documents into these Apps when I don't want to bother with USB cable. DropCopy can be the key, please don't let those users down who trusted in you.
the most recent version on the App Store is much more flexible with which file formats it can preview, and you can always move those files to another specialized app (such as GoodReader) using the 'open in' option…
I am having trouble with a pdf file. I can get it to the other machine, but then when i click on it, i dont get the option to send it to a program. But i can do it with a text file. I am trying to get the pdf into Goodreader. Please tell me what i need to do.
This is a feature of the full version. We enable the feature for text files on the free version just to show how it works, but for PDF and other common formats you need to upgrade.
