How do I add a Manual Destination if the systems get their IP address from DHCP and are not fixed. Is there a way that I can use a DNS name so that even if the IP address changes DropCopy will still see the systems?
By host name do you mean DNS name, Computer Name, ComputerName.local, or some other entry? Can you please be specific, because I've tried various things and they don't work.
ComputerName.local or 192.168.1.15 or Yahoo.com are all examples of possible host names. If you use something other than an IP number, you need to make sure your DNS service can resolve it. Obviously trying to send to a local IP (such as 192.168.x.x or 10.0.0.x) across the internet takes special configuration to work.
