We’re really happy to report that the first update to DropCopy mobile in over a year has been published. This version brings a bit more love to the iPad version of DropCopy, making it feel more like a true iPad app and not just a big version of the iPhone interface. In particular, document previews now slide in at the full vertical height of the device and support “pinch to zoom” gestures to navigate between fullscreen and preview states. Done with the preview? …just swipe it off the screen. We think you’ll love it!

Bug Fix: IP Scanner Mobile 2.91

IP Scanner version 2.91 is now available for mobile devices. This update includes performance and stability enhancements, as well as fixing a bug introduced in 2.9 that would cause the scanner to scan the cell network instead of the wifi network under certain circumstances. If you were holding off upgrading because of this bug, it is now safe to upgrade.

Try CrossWalk for FREE (with iAds)

CrossWalk is undoubtedly our most useful iPhone app for New Yorkers: it provides instant cross-street lookups, a great-looking subway map, and service advisories, even when you are offline. It also used to cost 3 bucks.

Now, we’ve decided to try offering a free ‘Lite’ version, supported by Apple’s new iAd network. We’re not sure how long the experiment will last, though, so get it while it’s available!

Mobile DropCopy updated to 1.8 (with loads of new features)

Mobile DropCopy has been updated to 1.8 (App Store approval pending).

This update brings a host of features that tie into the 3.0 firmware update. As promised, you can now transfer clipboards back and forth between iPods, iPhones and Macs. But we’ve also added some new interface goodness in the form of image previews for image files, and the ability to save a DropCopied image to your iPhone’s camera roll.

Interesting side-note: the most frequent use of Mobile DropCopy, according to our users, is to wirelessly transfer images taken on the iPhone to their computers. Whatever works!
