question: I try to use dropcopy from my MacBook to my iPhone and no matter what type of file… Txt, PDF, mp3 it always rejects the transfer saying I'm trying to transfer an application.

answer: You may have the pref ticked to 'preserve resource forks' in DropCopy on the Mac. This pref caused the file to be zipped before transfer, and mobile DropCopy on the iPhone will not be able to process this (yet)
