under some conditions you might need to manually specify a host name in the DropCopy preferences. DropCopy will use the custom hostname in preference over the auto-discovered one.

When a machine tries to reply to a message by clicking on reply button and sending, the reply does not transfer. The following message displays:

"unable to connect to the chosen destination after trying for 10 seconds"

This header is followed by the usual discourse about firewall access and manually adding the destination. There is no problem sending newly created messages or transferring files. Both machines are Macs using OSX 10.4.11.
