I've installed dropcopy today on my new mbp with core i7, but i've seen that switch to nVidia GT330m with dropcopy active. Do you have the ability to test this and modify dropcopy to use only intel HD? My battery thankful.
Were not sure if the ability to choose which video hardware to use is made available to third parties. We also dont have one of those new laptops yet – lucky you! For the moment, try turning off 'core graphics' in the drop copy prefs and see if that keeps things running on the onboard graphics.
we have posted a new beta (1.6.3) with better care taken to isolate core image calls, but without a test machine we can't really be certain any of these steps will help. Can those with new MBPs give us a better idea of when the graphics kick in – is it just during transfers or all the time?
