Restore DropCopy icon to the Menubar

Once you "remove" Dropcopy icon from the Menubar, HOW do you restore it?

There is no way to access preferences etc if you remove this icon. I tried everything under the sun and moon to bring it back . even removing with appzapper and reinstalling didn't work...

Oh no...

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

Hi - check out entry #11 in the dropcopy FAQ. That should do the trickmfor you:

I can open the preferences using cmd+;

But it´s impossible to bring the menu icon back.

How can I remove this app and re-install it, to bring the DropIcon menu icon back.

You can´t use DropIcon without the menu icon, because you can´t add SFTP-destinations.

With entry#2 in the FAQ you cannot bring back the menu icon.

I am having the same problem: accidentally collapsed menubar icon of dropcopy and don't know how to reinstate it. Tried FAQ item 2 but doesn't work. Please advice.

Sorry to have to revive this but I'm experiencing the same issue and upon referencing the FAQ, #2 no longer seems to be related. Instead doing a text search reveals this:

I accidentally removed DropCopy from the menu bar. How do I get it back?
---------------------------------------------------------------
To get access to the preferences in situations where the menu bar is hidden AND the app is hidden from the dock, click once on the drop-zone and hit command+comma (i.e., the apple key + the comma key and the same time.)

Which obviously, doesn't answer the question as it simply says how to get to the preferences when what we need is to restore the menu bar icon.

Use FAQ item 11 to get the application menu to show up in the menu bar, then choose 'Collapse/Show Menubar Icon' from the Tools menu.

Remember: this option is in the Tools menu of the main menubar, NOT in the Prefs panel for DropCopy.

Where is this located?

This is the preference dialog box I see.

No option to collapse/show menubar icon.

Mine's from the App Store so I don't know if there's a different version out there that has this menu item you speak of

jbmg: not sure how you managed to hide EVERYTHING ;-) However, if you quit the app and relaunch while holding down the option and command keys you should get a dialog for reseting the prefs. This may be your only means of recovering at this point.

thank you.
When I launch, it don't appear and I found crash log.

I found drop copy.plist !Embarassed
I put all files and folders, with DropCopy in the name, in the trash. Also crash log
I re-install DropCopy and now it runs well.Smile
